Measuring transfer characteristics of fully differential OTA
Mar 23rd, 2018, 5:08am

Hi experts,

Can you pls suggest a good reference to know about the procedure to measure the open loop gain and phase response of a two stage fully differential OTA using signal source and CRO?

Thanks,

Indrajit

Middlebrook developed those measurements to a high art. He used a signal generator driving a current probe to excite the circuit, and he used a vector volt meter rather than an oscilloscope to measure magnitude and phase. You might be able to automate his measurements with a network analyzer. I suggest you start by looking at his publications on loop gain.
