VerilogA - White Noise and Flicker Noise
Oct 24th, 2019, 5:00pm

Hi,
I am going through the verilog A manual
http://www.lumerink.com/docs/VerilogA.pdf.

It says "The white_noise function is active only during small-signal noise analyses and returns 0 otherwise."

Could you please let me what are small-signal noise analyses in "Spectre" ?
What analysis should I use in "Spectre" to see that the effect of white_noise function?

Spectre's "noise" analysis will activate this function.

You should try running a noise analysis with a native resistor in Spectre, and then write a Verilog-A resistor and compare the results.

(Other analyses, like pnoise, will also show white_noise. But regular "noise" is the easiest to get started with.)
