'type' parameter in Juncap model (spectre)
May 30th, 2008, 7:19am

Good day, all.

Does anyone know what is the meaning of parameter 'type' (can be either 'n' or 'p') in
Spectre implementation of Juncap (philips junction diode model)?

Seems that changing n <--> p reverses the polarity of the device. Question is whether
it does anything else?

Thank you.

A quick perusal of the Philips simkit source code for juncap2 doesn't show any parameters whose defaults depend on TYPE (sometimes, some QM constants are specific to P or N type).

Seems somewhat odd to have this parameter, though, rather than having people instantiate the diode the correct way.
